I didn't even know it was Miss Clarke's birthday. I'd be delighted to come-- we do have to celebrate where we can, even under these circumstances.

Do you need any help with anything? Telling the locals, setting up the festivities?

i don't actually know a lot about parties, haha. so help setting up would be really appreciated. i know we need a cake and hats and decorations...is there anything else we should have?

That's all right. Where I was born, we didn't celebrate birthday parties in the same way, either.

[Fortunately, he's had enough exposure to Western birthday celebrations by now, though!]

Games? Oh, and gifts, as well. I don't know Miss Clarke very well, though... have you any idea what she might like?

what kind of games are suited to a birthday?

[His two experiences with birthday parties are the little cake and hats that Rem got him and Nai on their literal first birthday, and the one on the Ximilia a few months ago, 150 years later.]

What we did on the station for our birthdays would be sufficient. Card games, board games, the like. Unfortunately, I'm not sure what other games would be appropriate for this time, but perhaps the locals will suggest some ideas if any of them attend.

As for the gift, I don't think it would be rude to ask. You wouldn't want to get her something she doesn't like, after all.

that's a good idea! i can ask around if anyone has suggestions at the party
in the meantime it should be pretty easy to shop for cards and board games
